Astragalus

Astragalus is a perennial herb, and the root can be used as medicine. It has the effects of invigorating the spleen, tonifying the middle, raising the yang, strengthening the exterior, diuresis, and promoting toxin and muscle growth.

It is mainly used to treat spleen qi deficiency, lung qi deficiency, spontaneous sweating due to qi deficiency, qi and blood deficiency, ulcers that are hard to fester and decay, or those that fester for a long time are hard to recover.

It is mainly produced in Dingxi, Longnan, Linxia, Gannan, Pingliang, Qingyang, Lanzhou, Jiuquan, Zhangye and other places in Gansu. Longxi is China’s “hometown of astragalus”, and its production of astragalus is of good quality. It is distributed in Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Tibet, Xinjiang, etc. It is cultivated in Northeast, Hebei, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia.
