Angelica is an umbrella herb, and the root can be used as medicine, can invigorate blood circulation, regulate menstruation and relieve pain, and it also can invigorate blood circulation, regulate menstruation and relieve pain, and moisten intestines and relieve constipation.
It is used for blood deficiency and chlorosis, dizziness and palpitations, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, asthenic cold abdominal pain, rheumatic arthralgia, falling and flapping injuries, carbuncle and sores, intestinal dryness and constipation. Liquor Angelica promotes blood circulation and menstruation. It is used for dysmenorrhea due to amenorrhea, rheumatism arthralgia, and falling injury. Especially, it can replenish blood and is an important medicine in blood, which was called “the holy medicine of gynecology” in ancient times.
It is mainly produced in the southeast of Gansu Province. Minxian County has a large yield and good quality, followed by Yunnan, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hubei and other provinces, all of which are cultivated.
